I have two things to say about the Equipment clothing collection. On the one hand, it’s been around for quite some time, so I think it has both a legacy and a reputation. On the other hand though, I also think that it has a lot of catching up to do with regards to other brands. If you are are interested in what is called the Equipment clothing brand then it’s important for you to know its history.

The Equipment brand was originally started in the 70s by Christian Roitfeld, and it reached its peak during the 80’s and 90’s. However, after Carine Roitfeld left, the line was prematurely closed, and everyone thought that was the end of it, or so they thought.

Not too long ago, Serge Azria had teamed up with Roitfeld himself to create more than a hundred different styles for the Equipment line. Since then, Equipment shirts, button downs and other types of apparel have made a comeback of sorts.

Although this kind of comeback is by no means unique in the fashion world, a lot of people are wondering just how far the new and improved Equipment line will go. Hopefully, the continued collaboration between Azria Roitfeld will push the brand into achieving its full potential.

A Fancy Party for Valentine’s Day

My husband and I were invited to an annual costume dance for Valentine’s Day. Several people in our community get together for a nice meal and a dance to celebrate the day of love. We also bring dishes for the meal. I guess it’s a bit like a potluck, but they are pretty particular about what to bring. Last year, we dressed like Romeo and Juliet. They were fantastic costumes. I really loved looking like dewy, love-struck Juliet. I am really not sure who or what we will be dressing as for this year’s dance. I have been looking at Fancy Dress Costumes online to see if that will give me any ideas. We have one shop that I usually like to shop from online. They are reliable and have decent quality costumes. I think we might try classical Greek loves or something of that nature. Perhaps I will go as Aphrodite with one of her loves.

I finally gave in and bought glasses. I resisted buying Prescription Glasses because I feel so frumpy and old when I am wearing them. But I really can’t see well when I don’t have them on. Buying attractive frames helps me to feel better. I think of a nice pair of frames as additional jewelry. Designer frames can also help to bring out my eyes when I buy the right pair.
